Better Jobs Ontario is a Provincial Program designed to help laid-off workers as well as Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program retrain for jobs that offers good employment opportunities and helps them get back to work quickly.
What Better Jobs Ontario gives you
You can get new skills – those needed for jobs in demand now – and financial support if you qualify for Better Jobs Ontario.
Qualified applicants can receive financial help with tuition, books and supplies, transportation and living expenses associated with their education and even child care.
While the Better Jobs Ontario program is open to all laid-off workers, and participants of Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program the Ontario government is making it easier and faster for laid-off workers to access the Better Jobs Ontario program. If you were laid off from one of the sectors most impacted by COVID-19 since March 1, 2020, you may benefit from these changes. Contact to see if you qualify.

Costs
Better Jobs Ontario funding may cover the costs of tuition, books, living expenses and other costs associated with the training up to a maximum of $28,000.
