The Blossom Group provides a home for people with complex special needs. Through our therapeutic live-in programs, we support children, youth, and adults through a range of cognitive, social, and emotional issues, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, neurobiological and developmental disabilities, and those with coexisting mental health and behavioural issues.

Job Description

· Knowledge of how to support clients with disabilities, both developmental and physical.
· Supporting family and caregiver involvement.
· Take ABC data daily.
· Record and graph Behaviour Support Plan data.
· Monitor clients’ progress and effectiveness of individualized programs.
· Implement ABA/IBI programs.
· Record and graph treatment data.
· Required supervision by Behaviour Therapist will be provided and the staff will report directly to the on-site Program Manager.
· Must be open to receiving regular supervision and construction feedback.
· Responsible for maintaining paperwork and communicating regularly with team and Floor Supervisors.
· Attend meetings to provide updates and input on specific clients.
· Prepare materials as needed for programming.
· Help shadow and promote skills within direct care teams.
· Accurately and fluently record data throughout sessions daily.
· Ability to work evening and weekend hours with multiple clients with diverse needs.
· Ability to work with individuals who require substantial behavioral intervention and support.
· On-going housekeeping related duties which include, meal preparation, laundry and clean up.
· Group Home Worker duties.
· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Valid Drivers license 
  • Reliable Transportation 
  • Ability to perform physical duties of the role; ability to engage learners in a variety of developmental ranges. 
  • Demonstrates excellent written and communication skills. ·
  • Working knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analytic terminology and concepts.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. 
  • Must be able to obtain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector, medical clearance and successfully pass Safe Management training. 

Education/Certificates

  • A community college diploma or a university degree in a related field and/or BACB Certification (e.g., Registered Behavior Technician/RBT, Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst).
  •  Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience: ABA: 1 year (preferred)
  • Current First Aid and CPR
