Hairstylist Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to hygiene standards and health and safety regulations
- Attend educational seminars
- Manage client files
- Manage and keep the salon cleaned and stocked
- Perform color and hair cutting services
- Respond to all customer questions, needs and wants
- Stay up to date with latest trends and best practices
- Suggest treatments to customers based on their needs
- Take care of working equipment and sample inventory of products
- Upsell when appropriate
Requirements
- Customer-oriented, friendly but professional approach
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge/previous use of Instagram
- Positive attitude and patience
- Some experience with sales
- Team player
Education/Certificates
- Degree or Certificate in Hairstyling at a Recognized Hair College/School
Experience
- 2 years of experience as a Hairstylist
- 2 years of experience in Haircutting & hair colouring
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Redken Colour
- Experience with Phorest software
